Glaze Paste- Pentart 101- Episode 24

Glaze Paste is a water-based thick paste containing colorful metallic or iridescent pigments, perfect for creating bright, colorful 3D designs with a soft, creamy texture that's easy to spread, showing the best iridescent effect behind a dark surface. Available in six metallics and four iridescent colors. 

Metallic:

• Ruby

• Emerald

• Rose Gold

• Gold

• Silver

• Pearl White

Iridescent:

• Green

• Purple

• Blue 

• Olive Gold

The color will be deceiving at first but once dried, that’s where the true color of the Glaze Paste will appear. If the Glaze Paste is applied thickly with a palette knife, it will show up opaque, but by applying it thinly with a sponge dabber, it will dry almost transparent. Drying time will vary based on how thick Glaze Paste is applied. For example, a thick application will take 4-6 hours.

Fun Tip: Glaze Paste can be mixed with Deluxe Pastes. 

Glaze Paste is not an actual glaze. It’s a paste that hardens to almost a high gloss enamel finish. When it comes to clean up, Glaze Paste is forgiving. 

Among many of the Pentart products, Glaze Paste is a must-have especially for Christmas crafts. But they can be used all year round. 

Fact: Glaze Paste is completely different from Shimmer Glaze.
